Hi,

Sangfor VDI has 4 main resource formats:

1. Virtual Desktop ***
- It is the format that will be used most often, which is as a Virtual Machine for users who log in to use it. It can be divided into Persistent and Non-Persistent.

2. Session-based Desktop
- Use Windows Server's ability to allow remote access. Multi-Session to use on that Windows Server machine.

3. Remote Desktop
- It is a direct connection to the Server via RDP of the machine on the Login Client.

4. Remote App
- Create a Windows Server to be a Remote App Server and add it to VDC. You can then select an application on the server for the user to use as a single application.

Is this answer helpful?

Sangfor aDesk uses strong user authentication and access control measures to protect remote resources, allowing only authorized users to access them.

Here's an overview of how it works:

1. User Authentication:
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

2. Access Control:
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Least Privilege Principle.

3. Session Management:
- Idle Session Timeout
- Forced Password Reset

4. Auditing and Logging:
- Detailed Logs
- Real-Time Alerts

Through the implementation of these security measures, Sangfor aDesk ensures that only authorized users can access remote resources. This helps protect sensitive data and maintain the integrity of the organization's IT infrastructure.

Sangfor aDesk employs a multilayered approach to user authentication and access control which ensures that only authorized user can have access to remote resources.

1. User authentiction
   - active directory integration
   - local user accounts
2. Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
   - One-Time Passwords (OTPs)
   - Biometric authentication
3. Role Based Access Control (RBAC)
4. Other Security Measures
   - Endpoint security checks
   - Session management

to summarize, Sangfor adesk integrates various authentication and access control methods to create a secure environment for accessing remote PCs. it leverages the existing AD, incorporates MFA, implements RBAC, and enforcing additional security measures.

Sangfor aDesk, their Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution, employs a multi-layered approach to user authentication and access control, ensuring only authorized users can access remote resources:

1. User Authentication:

Username and Password: The primary method involves traditional username and password authentication. Users must provide valid credentials to establish a connection to the aDesk environment.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Sangfor aDesk integrates with various MFA solutions, adding an extra layer of security beyond just passwords. This can involve one-time passwords sent via SMS, hardware tokens, or biometric authentication (e.g., fingerprint scanners).
Active Directory (AD) Integration: aDesk can integrate with existing Active Directory infrastructure, leveraging centralized user management and authentication protocols like Kerberos. This simplifies user management and eliminates the need to maintain separate credentials for aDesk access.

2. Access Control:

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Users are assigned roles within the aDesk system, and each role is granted specific permissions to access resources. This ensures users only have access to the resources and applications necessary for their job functions, minimizing the risk of unauthorized access to sensitive data.
Session Management: aDesk implements session monitoring and timeout policies. Inactive sessions are automatically terminated after a predefined period, preventing unauthorized access even if credentials are compromised.
Network Access Control (NAC): Additionally, Sangfor offers separate NAC solutions that can be integrated with aDesk, adding another layer of control by restricting network access to authorized devices and users.

3. Additional Security Features:

Endpoint Security: Sangfor offers endpoint security solutions that can be integrated with aDesk to enforce security policies on user devices accessing the VDI environment. This can include anti-virus, anti-malware, and data loss prevention (DLP) functionalities.
Data Encryption: Data at rest and in transit can be encrypted using various methods to protect sensitive information even in the event of a security breach.

By combining these authentication and access control mechanisms, Sangfor aDesk strives to provide a secure and controlled environment for accessing remote resources, mitigating the risks associated with unauthorized access and data breaches.

Sangfor aDesk employs a multi-layered approach to user authentication and access control to ensure only authorized users can access remote resources. It utilizes various authentication mechanisms such as username/password, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and digital certificates to verify user identities. Access control policies are enforced based on user roles, privileges, and contextual factors, allowing administrators to define granular access rights.
