aCloud - Storage link aggregation with 2 Switch 5

Alco Lv1Posted 24 Jun 2019 20:37

I configure storage link aggregation with 2 switch deployment.
I configure this enviroment using 2 ETH; one integrated on Motherboard and one from PCI Card
I always have "one link failed" with health check.

After many test and attempt i solve the issue only using link aggregation on 2 eth on the same card. So both on Motherboard or both on external pci ethernet card

is this a normal behaviour

Thanks

Hi Alco,

If your question is "if its the Normal behavior" the answer is "NO".
The main purpose of aCloud is redundancy in all parts. Meaning on Interface usage it is recommended to use different source (Motherboard and PCIe Card) connected in different switch. So, in any case the one switch or even interface will fail, you can still have communication on your virtual data store.
