ES detects malware & other virus based on the signature DB. If license is not renewed for the same, it will be unable to update it's signature database. Rest of ES functions should work.

If the endpoint security is not renewed, quarantined files will remain in quarantine until they are deleted or restored. If no further action is taken, files that have been quarantined for more than 30 days will be permanently deleted from the disk with no recovery option

Quarantined files will persist within the quarantine area until they are either restored or deleted. In the absence of any subsequent measures, files that have undergone quarantine for a period exceeding 30 days will be irrevocably eliminated from the storage, with no possibility of recovery.

Hi everyone.

If the license expires, it is unable to update the virus definition, but all Endpoint Secure functions remain operational.

Several consequences might happen if end point security was not renewed in a timely manner
•        No more updates and patches
•        Loss of real time protection
•        Reduced or inconsistent threat detection
•        No access to technical support
•        Risk of data breaches
•        Performance impact on devices

If the Endpoint Security is not renewed, the quarantined files will remain quarantined. They will not be deleted or released.

The Endpoint Security quarantine is a temporary holding area for files that have been identified as suspicious or malicious. The files are quarantined so that they cannot be accessed or executed.

When the Endpoint Security subscription expires, the quarantine will no longer be managed. This means that the quarantined files will remain in the quarantine but will not be scanned for threats or updated with the latest threat definitions.

If you want to delete the quarantined files, you can do so manually. However, you should be aware that the files may still be malicious. It is best to consult with a security expert before deleting quarantined files.

Here are some of the things that you can do to prevent quarantined files from causing problems:

* Renew your Endpoint Security subscription before it expires.
* Regularly scan your endpoints for threats.
* Keep your Endpoint Security software up to date with the latest threat definitions.
* Use a firewall to block malicious traffic.
* Train your employees on security best practices.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
