Dear Sangfor Team,

I updated IAM Firmware from 11.9 to 12.0.7. Now Application control policy not working. I created access-control policy to block youtube and facebook but policy is not working.

In my previous POC, IAM firmware was 11.9 and everything was working fine.

CTI LS has solved this question and earned 10 coins.

Yes i double checked everything. If i blocked URL then it is working but i have to block application that is not working.

In my previous POC IAM 11.9, I did same configuration everything was working fine

Hi Atif,

Kindly check if the Application Signature Database is at latest version.

Also, from your previous reply you mentioned it is working if block by URL, do you mean Custom Application?

Yes, All Application Signature Database updated to latest version.

Youtube and facebook should be blocked through app control and existing URL database "Online video category".

But facebook and youtube still opening on PC and Mobile phones.

Hi Atif,

Below are some criteria that required to fulfill,

1. Ensure the User that you want to block is appear in IAM Online User.
2. Ensure the Policy you created to block Facebook and Youtube has applied to the respective User.
3. Ensure the Troubleshooting function is not enabled.
4. Ensure the User is not in Global Exclusion Rule of IAM.

Hi .

I double checked all above points:

1: User is showing in online
2: Policy is applied as well on respective user
3: Bypass mode is not enabled
4: User is not in Global exclusion rule of IAM.
