This may be related to network card drivers or adapter settings. At first ensure that the network cards on both the host and the VMs support 10Gbps speeds and are properly configured to utilize it. Check for any driver updates or compatibility issues that might be impacting performance. Also verify that the network configuration within the HCI cluster is optimized for high-speed communication and that there are no bottlenecks or limitations within the network infrastructure.

There are known issues with Hyper-V on Server 2019 and horrible network performance which is knowing the OS is important here. Numerous threads on the subject.

Hi All,
Did the following setup in earlier stage, but the problem still not resolve
1. network adapter automatically configured as 10Gbps - YES
2. enable high performance mode (Jumbo Frame) - YES
3. network driver using latest driver , installed properly - YES
4. remove third party software - antivirus, backup software, etc. - YES

Not try yet using others Operating System such as linux, because the production system using windows server 2022.

Maximum throughput between VMs (Same platform) only 5.4 Gbps.
Suspect the problem due to firmware on Sangfor FastIO Ethernet Adapter.

To diagnose and resolve the issue with Windows Server VMs not achieving 10Gbps bandwidth throughput in a Sangfor HCI environment with 3 hosts, you should first verify the network configuration of the virtual network adapters, ensuring they are correctly set up for 10Gbps connectivity. Check for any misconfigurations or limitations that might prevent the full bandwidth utilization. Next, update the network card drivers and adapters for both the host and guest operating systems, as outdated drivers might not support the full bandwidth capabilities of the network interface.

After ensuring the VM settings are appropriate, with the right number of virtual processors and memory, assess the network for congestion or bottlenecks. This could involve analyzing the network topology, checking for network congestion, or optimizing the network configuration to improve bandwidth between the VMs.

Additionally, validate the hypervisor and HCI settings, including network and storage settings, as well as the overall HCI cluster configuration. If the issue persists, consult Sangfor technical support for further assistance, as they can provide more specific guidance based on your HCI environment and configuration. By addressing these aspects, you can identify and resolve potential issues with the network card drivers/adapters and improve the bandwidth throughput for your Windows Server VMs in the Sangfor HCI setup.
