Hi, it's possible to monitor CPU,memory and network usage within every single virtual machine (after installing virtual tools).
Is this answer helpful?

Yes, there are several tools and methods to measure network throughput in Sangfor HCI or any similar hyper-converged infrastructure environment. Here are a few options:

1. Sangfor HCI Network Analyzer
Description: Sangfor HCI often provides its own network analysis tools, such as the Network Analyzer mentioned earlier.
Features: This tool can provide real-time monitoring of network traffic, including throughput, bandwidth utilization, packet loss, and latency.
Usage: Administrators can use the Network Analyzer to view current network throughput statistics, historical trends, and identify any performance bottlenecks.
2. iperf
Description: iperf is a popular and widely used tool for measuring network performance. It can be installed on both client and server machines.
Features: With iperf, you can test the maximum achievable bandwidth between two nodes in your Sangfor HCI setup.
Usage: Run an iperf server on one node and an iperf client on another. The client will send data to the server, and iperf will report the throughput achieved during the test.
Example:
On Server Node: iperf -s
On Client Node: iperf -c server_ip_address
3. Wireshark
Description: Wireshark is a powerful network protocol analyzer that can be used to inspect the data going over the network.
Features: While it's not primarily a throughput testing tool, Wireshark can give insights into network throughput by capturing packets and analyzing their timing and size.
Usage: Capture packets between two nodes during a file transfer or other network activity. Analyze the packet timing and size to calculate throughput.
4. Sangfor HCI Performance Testing Tool
Description: This tool, if available, may have specific network throughput testing features.
Features: Designed for performance testing, it can simulate various workloads, including network-intensive scenarios.
Usage: Run tests with varying network loads to measure throughput. The tool should provide detailed reports on network performance metrics.
5. Throughput Testing with File Transfers
Description: A simple method involves transferring a large file between nodes and measuring the time taken.
Features: While not as sophisticated as dedicated tools, this method can give a basic idea of network throughput.
Usage: Use SCP, FTP, or similar protocols to transfer a large file. Measure the file transfer time and calculate throughput (Throughput = File Size / Transfer Time).
These tools and methods can help you measure network throughput in your Sangfor HCI environment, providing valuable insights into network performance and helping in optimization and troubleshooting efforts.

Network Traffic Analysis Tools: These tools can help you easily identify network vulnerabilities, anomalies, and IT security issues through effective network traffic analysis. They can provide insights into network throughput and performance. You can search for specific network traffic analysis tools that are compatible with Sangfor HCI.

Sangfor HCI User Manual: The user manual for Sangfor HCI may provide information on measuring network throughput. It might include details on virtual network devices, bandwidth specifications, and other relevant settings that can help you measure network throughput within the Sangfor HCI environment.

Hi,

Sangfor HCI offers built-in tools to monitor/measure network throughput:

1. Go to Sangfor HCI Web Admin Console and navigate to Dashboard > Network Status
You can see live and 24hour throughput information

2. Under Network Status window mentioned in step 1,  click the settings icon in the corner.

this will displays a detailed breakdown of bandwidth utilization for each network interface.

Sangfor HCI itself provides tools to monitor and measure network throughput:

1. Dashboard:

Access the Sangfor HCI web admin console.
    Navigate to the "Dashboard" section.
Look for the "Network status" option, which displays real-time and 24-hour throughput information.

2. Per-interface statistics:

Within the "Network status" window, click the settings icon in the top right corner.
This will display detailed per-interface bandwidth utilization graphs.

These tools allow you to monitor overall network traffic and identify specific interfaces experiencing high utilization.

Here are some additional points to consider:

Sangfor HCI literature suggests a minimum 1 Gbps physical network bandwidth for optimal performance, including during migration tasks.
For further analysis or troubleshooting, consider using external network monitoring tools alongside Sangfor's built-in options.

Network traffic analysis (NTA) is an advanced method for the inspection and breakdown of the data packets that form network traffic by use of a combination of behavior modeling, machine learning, and rule-based detection to root out any suspicious activity. A baseline of normal behavior can be identified through this analysis and any outliers can be flagged down and isolated as potential threats.

Hi,

You can use snmp to get all types of measuses from your servers and services. And use it on plataforms that can show you all kind of graphs with many  dashboard options like  zabbix or grafana...

Thanks

To measure network throughput in Sangfor HCI, you can utilize various tools such as iPerf, a widely-used open-source tool for measuring TCP and UDP bandwidth performance. Alternatively, Sangfor may offer proprietary tools or monitoring features within their HCI platform specifically designed for performance evaluation. These tools typically allow you to simulate traffic and analyze throughput metrics to assess network performance accurately.
