Can't access IAG because no IP was assigned and the port with managed access was not accesible 20

Hello everyone. I hope somebody can help me. How can I access the Web UI of the IAG when I don't know the IP address of the device? There's a managed port which is assigned to ETH 1 but it was disabled by the previous configurator. Other ports are perfectly working.

below are some methods you can try depending on your situation.

1. check if configured via DHCP, it might be listed in your router's DHCP lease table which might list the device name, MAC addresses, IP address

2. use tools like Angry IP scanner, fing, or Advanced IP Scanner to scan your network and iddentify active devices including IP addresses.

3. You may try accessing common default addresses like 192.168.0.1 / 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.1 in your we b browser

4. if all else fails, you may fallback to factory settings

Hi, if you are unable to access the Sangfor IAG (Internet Access Gateway) web UI because you don’t know the IP address, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check Other Ports for Management IP:
Use the Sangfor Firmware Updater to check other ports of the NGAF (Next-Generation Application Firewall) for management IP addresses.
If you find an IP address associated with a different port, try accessing the web UI using that IP.
Additionally, ping the management IP to verify connectivity.
If you can ping, attempt to telnet to the IP using port 443.

Sub-IP Addresses:
Similar to the IAM device, NGAF might have sub-IP addresses on different ports (e.g., ETH0, ETH1).
Verify if there are sub-IP addresses assigned to specific ports and try accessing the web UI using those.

Direct Cable Connection:
Connect directly to the NGAF using an Ethernet cable.
Configure your PC’s IP address to match the same range as the NGAF’s IP (e.g., ETH0 = 10.251.251.251).
Attempt to access the web UI.
If the connection hangs, try using Internet Explorer.

Factory Defaults Reset:
If all else fails, consider resetting the NGAF to factory defaults.
Avoid configuring the IP on a new port after accessing the web UI to prevent similar issues with other ports.

Remember to adapt these steps based on your specific NGAF configuration and network environment. If you continue to face issues, consider reaching out to Sangfor’s technical support for further assistance

Connect to the Sangfor IAG device using a console cable. This often involves using a terminal emulation program (e.g., PuTTY or Tera Term) and a serial cable connected to the console port on the device.

Attempt to log in using default credentials. Check the documentation or Sangfor's official resources for default login credentials. If the previous configurator did not change them, you might be able to access the device.

If all else fails, contact Sangfor support for assistance. They might be able to provide guidance on how to recover access or assist in resolving the issue.

As a last resort, you may consider performing a factory reset on the Sangfor IAG device. Be cautious with this step as it will erase all configurations. Refer to the Sangfor documentation for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

Ensure that your computer is in the same network subnet as the Sangfor IAG device. You may want to configure a static IP address on your computer within the same subnet.

Please contact support if you want to reset the password of the IAG
