From the Vinchin Backup & Recovery login screen, download the backup plugin. Choose the version based on the Sangfor HCI version that you have.

Administrative access to the Sangfor HCI console is typically a prerequisite for installing the Vinchin plugin and permitting traffic on ports 29203 and 29204 for Vinchin. Once logged in with the appropriate administrative credentials, proceed to the network or firewall configuration section, as per the HCI console's interface and settings, to open the specified ports

Successful installation of the Vinchin plugin and the establishment of communication on ports 29203 and 29204 for Vinchin typically require administrative access to the Sangfor HCI console.

Here is a guide on the process of accessing the Sangfor HCI console via SSH and opening ports for Vinchin:

1. Retrieve Credentials:

Documentation: Consult the Sangfor HCI documentation for the default login credentials.
Initial Setup: If you configured custom credentials during setup, use those.
Support: If you're unsure, contact Sangfor support for assistance.

2. Access via SSH:

Open SSH Client: Use a terminal or SSH client on your computer.
Connect: Type ssh admin@<HCI_IP_address>, replacing <HCI_IP_address> with the actual IP address of your HCI system.
Enter Credentials: When prompted, provide the admin username and password.

3. Open Ports for Vinchin:

Access Firewall Configuration: Use commands or a web interface (refer to documentation for specific instructions).
Inbound Rules: Create inbound rules to allow TCP traffic on ports 29203 and 29204, specifying the source IP addresses or networks that should have access.
Save and Apply: Save the firewall configuration and apply the changes.

4. Install Vinchin Plugin:

Plugin Availability: Confirm the Vinchin plugin is compatible with your Sangfor HCI version.
Installation Instructions: Follow the specific installation instructions provided by Vinchin. This might involve using the HCI's web interface or command-line tools.

Additional Considerations:

    Security:
Change the default admin password after initial setup.
Use strong, unique passwords for all accounts.
Implement additional security measures like two-factor authentication.
    Documentation and Support:
Always refer to the official Sangfor HCI and Vinchin documentation for comprehensive instructions and troubleshooting guidance.
Contact Sangfor support if you encounter any issues or require further assistance.
