To change passwords for multiple SD-WAN sites from a central management server, first, access the central management interface where your SD-WAN configurations are managed. Log in with your administrator credentials. Once inside, locate the section for site configuration. Within this section, identify the specific sites for which you want to change passwords. Some interfaces allow batch selection of multiple sites at once.

Within the site configuration section, find the fields related to password management or user accounts. These are the fields where you can enter the new passwords for the selected sites. Be sure to enter the new passwords accurately. After entering the new passwords, confirm the changes. Some systems might require you to confirm the new password by entering it twice.

Once you have confirmed the changes, apply them to save the new passwords for the selected sites. This step often involves clicking a "Save," "Apply," or "Update" button within the management interface. After applying the changes, it's crucial to verify that the new passwords are successfully updated for the selected SD-WAN sites. You can do this by attempting to log in to the individual sites using the new passwords.

Always ensure that you have a backup of your configurations before making any changes. If you encounter specific issues or need detailed instructions tailored to your SD-WAN solution, it's advisable to consult the official documentation provided by your SD-WAN vendor or seek assistance from their support resources.

When using a Sangfor SD-WAN solution, you can also use the following steps to change the passwords of all your SDWAN sites from the Central Manager Server:

  •     Log in to the Central Manager Server.
  •     Navigate to Configuration > SD-WAN > Sites.
  •     Select the sites that you want to change the passwords for.
  •     Click More > Bulk Operation.
  •     In the Bulk Operation dialog box, select Change Site Password.
  •     Enter the new password in the New Password field.
  •     Enter the new password again in the Confirm Password field.
  •     Click OK.

The Central Manager Server will then push the new passwords to the selected sites.

Note:
It is important to note that changing the passwords of all your SDWAN sites at the same time can be disruptive. It is recommended that you schedule the password change for a maintenance window. You should also make sure that you have a backup of your SD-WAN configuration before you change the passwords. This will allow you to restore the configuration if there are any problems with the password change.
