Potential causes for the "no hard disk detected" error during the Sangfor installation include compatibility issues, incorrect BIOS settings, physical connection problems, hard disk failure, driver issues, and incorrect RAID configuration.

If your hard disk is not being detected during the installation of Sangfor version 6.3.0 on your HP ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Plus server, please follow beloe steps  to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
  • Check the physical connections: Ensure that the hard disk is properly connected to the server's storage controller. Check the cables and connections to make sure they are secure.
  • Verify server compatibility: Confirm that the HP ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Plus server is compatible with the version of Sangfor you are trying to install. Check the system requirements and compatibility matrix provided by Sangfor to ensure that your server model is supported.
  • Update firmware and drivers: Ensure that the server's firmware and storage controller drivers are up to date. Visit the HP support website and download the latest firmware and drivers for your server model. Install the updates and try the installation process again.
  • Enable RAID settings: If you are using RAID configurations on your server, access the RAID controller settings during the server boot process. Verify that the hard disk is included in the RAID configuration and that the RAID settings are properly configured.
  • Check BIOS settings: Enter the server's BIOS settings and ensure that the storage controller and hard disk settings are correctly configured. Look for any settings related to hard disk detection and compatibility and adjust them as needed.
  • Test with a different hard disk: If possible, try using a different hard disk to determine if the issue is specific to the disk or related to the server. This can help isolate the problem and identify whether the issue lies with the hard disk itself or with the server's configuration.

Verify physical connections: Ensure that the hard disk is properly connected to the server. Check the SATA or SAS cables and power connections to make sure they are securely attached.

Check the drive status in the BIOS: Restart your server and access the BIOS settings by pressing the appropriate key (usually F2, F9, or Del) during the boot process. In the BIOS, navigate to the "Drives" or "Storage" section and check if the hard disk is detected. If not, try reseating the drive or connecting it to a different SATA/SAS port.

Update firmware and drivers: Visit the official HP website and download the latest firmware and drivers for your HP ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Plus server. Install the updates according to the provided instructions. Firmware and driver updates often include fixes for hardware detection issues.

Enable RAID controller: If you are using a RAID configuration, ensure that the RAID controller is enabled in the BIOS settings. Look for the "RAID Configuration" or "SATA Configuration" option and enable it if necessary.

Enable AHCI mode: If you are not using a RAID configuration, check if the hard disk controller is set to AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface) mode. AHCI mode is typically required for modern hard disks. In the BIOS, locate the "SATA Configuration" or "Drive Controller" option and set it to AHCI if it's currently disabled or set to IDE mode.

Check compatibility: Verify that the Sangfor version 6.3.0 you are installing is compatible with your server hardware. Check the system requirements and compatibility list provided by Sangfor to ensure that your server model is supported.

contact sangfor team and share your hardware details with them i mean server brand and all accessories plugged into it. they will provide customized sangfor ISO which will be compatible with your hardware, i am sure this issue is because of no driver present in your ISO form which you are booting.

Check the hard disk first in the BIOS if can be detected.

Verify hardware compatibility: Ensure that Sangfor version 6.3.0 is compatible with your HP ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Plus server. Check the system requirements and compatibility documentation provided by Sangfor to confirm if it supports your specific hardware configuration.

Check hard disk connections: Ensure that the hard disk is properly connected to the server. Check the cables and connections to make sure they are secure. If possible, try reseating the hard disk or connecting it to a different port to rule out any connection issues.
Check BIOS settings: Access the server's BIOS settings and verify that the hard disk is detected and configured correctly. Look for any relevant options related to disk detection or storage configuration. If necessary, consult the server's user manual or contact HP support for assistance with BIOS settings.

Update firmware and drivers: Ensure that your server's firmware (including the BIOS) and drivers are up to date. Visit the HP support website and download the latest firmware and drivers for your server model. Update them following the provided instructions, as this may resolve compatibility issues or bugs that could affect the detection of the hard disk during installation.
Contact support: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it is recommended to reach out to Sangfor support or HP support for further assistance. They will have access to specific knowledge about their products and can provide you with more targeted guidance to address the installation problem.
