Hello.

Please tell me how to monitor sangfor ngaf using zabbix?
The only template on github through discovery rules does not collect data.

Snmp access enabled. Are there other templates for monitoring sangfor via zabbix?

To monitor Sangfor NGAF using Zabbix, you can follow these steps:
  • Install the Zabbix agent on the Sangfor NGAF server.
  • Configure the Zabbix agent on the Sangfor NGAF server to allow monitoring from the Zabbix server.
  • Create a host entry for the Sangfor NGAF server in the Zabbix server.
  • Configure the Sangfor NGAF server to send SNMP traps to the Zabbix server.
  • Create an SNMP trap item in the Zabbix server for the Sangfor NGAF server.
  • Set up monitoring templates in the Zabbix server to monitor various aspects of the Sangfor NGAF server, such as CPU usage, memory usage, disk usage, network traffic, and so on.
  • Configure alerts in the Zabbix server to notify you if any issues are detected on the Sangfor NGAF server.

It is recommended to refer to the official Zabbix documentation for detailed instructions on how to set up monitoring for Sangfor NGAF using Zabbix.

To monitor Sangfor NGAF using Zabbix, you need to enable SNMP on the NGAF device and configure the Zabbix server to use the SNMP protocol to collect data from the device. You also need a template that defines the items, triggers, graphs, and applications for monitoring Sangfor NGAF. You can use the template from GitHub or create your own template based on the Sangfor NGAF SNMP guide. Here are some steps to follow:

Download and import the template from GitHub or create your own template using the Zabbix web interface.
Add the Sangfor NGAF device as a host in Zabbix and assign it to a group and a proxy (if needed).
Link the template to the host and specify the SNMP community and version.
Check the latest data and problems tabs to see if the monitoring is working properly.
Optionally, you can customize the template or create new items, triggers, graphs, and applications according to your needs.

Hi, you can enable SNMP on NGAF web ui at this point:

System -> SNMP -> SNMPv1/v2 -> Add

Here you can add the Zabbix Server specifying Ip address and community.
Do not forget to set read only permission.

After that, Go to Zabbix Server web ui and create a new host following this steps:

Configuration -> Hosts -> Create Host

Give it a name and specify host group, local ip of Sangfor NGFW
Set on Macros the SNMP community we set before on Sangfor NGAF and click update in order to save.
Now on Zabbix Server, on following path we can set discovery to retrieve all interfaces, tunnels, vlans that are on Sangfor NGAF

Configuration -> Hosts -> Discovery

Clicking on Discovery, we can enable network discovery and perform execute now

Precaution
1. Beware that it will take a lot of time to collect snmp monitoring data on all items that are dynamically created
2. After discovery has completed, control the triggers that are automatically created and keep enable only the triggers that you really want to get an alert
