Centos7 VM restart abnormally

Issue Description

The Centos7 VM restart abnormally.

Error/Warning Information

Access the the VM Summary > Tasks to check the reboot record.

Handling Process

1. Access console to VM and check on the crash log, found there is showing the virtio balloon log.
Command: cd /var/crash  --> Access to the path.
Command: vi vmcore-dmesg.txt  --> Check on the info logs.

2. Verifying the log, the virtio balloon log means the memory reclaiming is having the issue, which the Centos 7 has compatibility issue with memory reclaiming and causing the issue.
3. Power off the VM and disable the memory reclaiming.

Root Cause

There is a memory reclaiming bug in the Centos7 system.

Solution

1. Virtual machine check mark important virtual machine (no need to restart the virtual machine).
2. Disable memory reclaiming (requires restarting the virtual machine).
3. Upgrade HCI version to 6.2.0 version or above.
