It is recommended when upgrading firmware that you update it 1 version higher not 2 to 3 version higher (example if your firmware is version 6, then you want to upgrade to version 8, you must upgrade to version 7 first before going to version 8).  

And check the following condition if meet:
1. Check if the upgrade license is valid
2. Check if the NGAF deployed in HA (High Availability mode) is disabled (enable this after upgrade)
3. Check if the custom patch or KB patch installed on the NGAF
4. Check if the NGAF hardware can support the firmware
5. Check in the Sync Options if the synchronization is disable
