Firmaware/Driver compatibility

EduardoOliveira Lv1Posted 2026-Aug-03 06:09

How can i know the driver version i am running for nic card, hba card?

Is there any place where i can see which version of firmware i should be running in order to get the best compatibility? Similar to what Vmware/Broadcom has?

HiHi,

Please find the link below for the HCI Compatibility Chart for your reference.

Hi,

Sangfor does not provide a public Hardware Compatibility Guide (HCL) with recommended driver/firmware combinations like VMware/Broadcom.

The recommendation is:
- Use hardware from the Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) (available through Sangfor or partners).
- Run firmware versions validated by Sangfor for your specific server model and HCI release.
- Update firmware only after confirming compatibility with Sangfor Technical Support or the server vendor.

Hello

Unlike VMware/Broadcom, Sangfor does not offer a public Hardware Compatibility Guide (HCL) with suggested driver/firmware combinations.

The suggestion is:Utilise hardware from Sangfor or its partners' Hardware Compatibility List (HCL).
Run firmware versions for your particular server model and HCI release that Sangfor has approved.Firmware should only be updated when Sangfor Technical Support or the server vendor have confirmed compatibility.

Yes. In Sangfor HCI you can check the currently installed NIC/HBA driver and firmware versions but compatibility should be verified against Sangfor's supported hardware or firmware matrix for your specific HCI version and hardware model.

NIC: Check NIC model, driver version and firmware using the HCI host/OS hardware information or CLI.
HBA: Check the HBA model, driver, firmware and WWPN from the host hardware/storage information.
Compatibility: Sangfor's HCI Hardware Compatibility List (HCL)/Compatibility Matrix is the reference to use rather than assuming the latest firmware is best.

Unlike VMware/Broadcom, Sangfor does not publish a public Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) that defines supported driver and firmware combinations for each hardware platform.

**Recommended Approach:**

* Select server hardware that has been officially validated by Sangfor and is included in the approved HCL, available through Sangfor or its authorized partners.
* Keep firmware versions aligned with the combinations certified for the specific server model and the deployed Sangfor HCI release.
* Validate firmware compatibility with Sangfor Technical Support or the server manufacturer before applying any updates to ensure optimal performance, platform stability, and continued support.
* Avoid unverified firmware upgrades, as they may introduce compatibility issues or affect the overall reliability of the HCI environment.
