HCI Network Design

This is a 3-node cluster deployed with virtual storage. Each HCI node is equipped with 6 x 10G ports dedicated to HCI service communication networks, covering management, Edge (port group), storage, VXLAN (for VM east-west traffic), and other traffic planes.

Step procedure:

Step by step to build up an HCI cluster and set up a virtual storage
1.  HCI OS installation depending on whether the server is sangfor aServer or an OEM server

3. Configure the link aggregation
eg. LACP/ static link aggregation, depending on the switch setting/ dependency

4. Configure the sub-interface on HCI for multiplexing (optional)
For my case, there are 6 x 10G ports in each HCI node, so I combined the edge and VXLAN by using the subinterface feature) -> LACP for 2 ports, and then create a subinterface on these LACP ports used for VXLAN

5. Configure the communication network, including the management, overlay and edge etc.

Configure the VXLAN communication network -> https://support.sangfor.com/prod ... category_id=2639675

Configure the edge Communication network -> https://support.sangfor.com/prod ... category_id=2639680

7. Configure the storage communication network and create a virtual storage

8. Install the SP service

9. Health Check (Recommend using the Sangfor Check for health)

10. Deploy the SCP

11. SCP to manage the HCI Cluster
