I have created 3 zones (i.e. dmz, lan, admin). dmz has a DNS and a web server.  in lan, i established limited access (only 443). while in admin i implemented allow all.  i implemented split DNS and all zones can access the internet. however, when i am connected to admin not all browsers can access the web app in dmz, but when i am connected to lan all browsers can access.

In summary, the most probable cause is that the application control policy between the admin and DMZ zones is either not properly allowing the traffic or the zones are of different types causing the policy to be ineffective. You should verify that:
  • Both admin and DMZ zones are of the same zone type (Layer 3 or Layer 2).
  • Application control policies explicitly allow traffic from admin to DMZ on the required ports and applications.
  • The allow policies are correctly ordered and cover all relevant IP addresses.
  • DNS resolution from admin zone to DMZ web server is correct.

Adjusting these configurations should resolve the issue where browsers in the admin zone cannot access the web app in the DMZ, while those in the LAN zone can.
