aDesk MFA compatibility

cbasso Lv1Posted Feb-05-2026 00:17

Hi,
apart InWebo, is there a list of compatible vendors for MFA on aDesk? (hardware tokens and/or software)?
Did someone used any other solution?

Thanks

There is no official public list of MFA vendors supported by aDesk apart from InWebo.

However, in practice, other MFA solutions can be used as long as aDesk is integrated with an SSO / Identity Provider (SAML or OIDC). In this setup, MFA is enforced at the IdP level, not directly by aDesk.

Commonly used alternatives include:

Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) MFA

Cisco Duo

Okta MFA

PingID

Auth0

Both software MFA (Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, Duo Push) and hardware tokens (YubiKey, Feitian, Token2, etc.) work if supported by the Identity Provider.

Apart from inWebo, there isn’t an official published list of compatible MFA vendors specifically for AnyDesk. AnyDesk’s built-in MFA uses standard TOTP (time-based OTP), so it works with almost any TOTP-compatible solution.

Commonly used MFA options with AnyDesk:

Software authenticators (TOTP):
• Google Authenticator
• Microsoft Authenticator
• Authy
• FreeOTP / Aegis

Hardware token options (via TOTP or external auth):
• YubiKey (OTP mode)
• Token2 hardware TOTP tokens
• Feitian / other TOTP hardware

Enterprise MFA (if using SSO/IdP before AnyDesk login):
• Duo Security
• Azure MFA
• Okta Adaptive MFA
• RSA SecurID
…as long as the IdP issues standard TOTP or federated credentials.

So yes — many people use other authenticators and hardware tokens with AnyDesk as long as they support the standard TOTP or integrate via an identity provider.
