Dear Valued Partners and Customers,

Thank you for your continuous support and trust in Sangfor. We are writing to inform you that an upcoming Sangfor Endpoint Secure version upgrade will take place in April.

Our team is working hard to bring you the latest technology and features to enhance your user experience significantly.
We are pleased to inform you of the key information below:


Update Time:
Endpoint Secure tenant updates will be performed in batches, and you will be notified by email seven days before the update. Updates will be scheduled during non-working hours. (e.g., 21:00-06:00 local time). Please check the email for the exact update date.

What's New in this update?  
Endpoint Secure version will upgrade from v3.7.12 or v6.0.4(or older) to v6.0.4 R2.
This update includes multiple product optimizations, stability improvements and fixes:
1.  Fixes and stability improvements:
    a.  Agent ID conflict issues.
    b.  Manager login issues (including Platform-X related).
    c.  Endpoint lagging and crashing issues.
    d.  Reduced false positives in prevention engines.

2.  New functionalities:
    a.  Automated uninstallation of third-party AV (Kaspersky, Trend Micro, Sophos, McAfee).
    b.  Support for Redhat 9 and AlmaLinux 8 and 9.
    c.  Network Secure (firewall) integration is available in Endpoint Secure Essential edition.
    d.  Enhanced integration capabilities with Cyber Guardian MDR and XDR/Omni-Command.
    e.  Support single-agent deployment with Sangfor Secure Access (SASE).

Here are some important details you should know regarding the upgrade:

1.  Please ensure that your PC and server have stable Internet connectivity.
2.  Please avoid shutting down or rebooting your PC or server during the upgrade period.
3.  During the upgrade process, you may not be able to log into the Endpoint Secure Manager for 10-20 minutes.
4.  After this upgrade, you will see that the Endpoint Secure Manager will be changed to version 6.0.4.2508.

If you do not agree to upgrade to this version, please reach out to edrcs@sangfor.com.cn (with your CorpID) before the exact update date. If you are unsure about your CorpID, please reach out to your Sangfor representative for assistance.

I Have upgraded on premise ES manager.
there some issue for several agent client changed to ungrouped asset, so i need to rearrange agent to previous Endpoint group.
Prepare for backup configuration, and export agent list in Endpoint groups to excel before doing upgrade.
