Use Let's Encrypt with Sangfor VDI for Automatic Certificate Updates

Newbie084584 Lv1Posted 2025-Feb-06 10:03

Hello everyone,

I’m currently using Sangfor VDI and would like to implement SSL/TLS certificates from Let's Encrypt for secure connections. My goal is to find a way to automatically update the device certificates when they expire, rather than manually uploading new ones every time.

Does anyone know if it's possible to integrate Let's Encrypt with Sangfor VDI? Specifically, I’d like to know:

- Does Sangfor VDI support APIs or scripts for automating certificate updates?
- Has anyone successfully configured Let’s Encrypt certificates with Sangfor VDI?
- Are there any tools or workflows you’d recommend to streamline this process?

Any insights, guides, or examples would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, Sangfor VDI supports automation through APIs and scripts using tools like Certbot, ACME.sh and custome scripts.

Install Certbot on your server.
Use Certbot to obtain your SSL/TLS certificate.
Configure Certbot to automatically renew the certificate. You can use the --renew-by-default option to renew certificates automatically.
Write a script to deploy the renewed certificate to your Sangfor VDI environment.
Schedule the script to run periodically using a task scheduler.
