Issue Description

The firewall is deployed in the active/standby mode. The IAM is deployed in the bridge mode. The switch is deployed in the active/standby mode. After the primary firewall is shut down, the switch does not switch to the standby.

Handling Process

1. Check the configuration of the bridge and find that “bridge state propagation” is not enabled.

Root Cause

“bridge state propagation” is not enabled, causing one bridge port to be down and the other bridge port of the bridge not down and the downlink device not switching.

Solution

Enable “bridge state propagation”. If one tracked bridge changes status between Connected and Disconnected, the other bridge changes accordingly, telling the peer device that the local device is down or recovers in redundant network.
