Issue Description

After the virtual machine IP address is modified on the VDC, restarting the virtual machine on the VMP does not take effect.

Handling Process

1. Log in to vdc, modify the IP address of the virtual machine and check the restart immediately, and then find that the configuration of the virtual machine is successfully modified in the vmp console.

2.’Restart VM’ is not checked on VDC. Manually restart the virtual machine in VMP and found that the virtual machine IP address and DNS address have not changed.

3.’Restart VM’ is not checked on VDC. Manually restart the virtual machine in VDC and found that the virtual machine IP address and DNS address have changed to the modified address.

Root Cause

Restarting the virtual machine through VMP is to obtain resources directly from VMP and will not re-trigger VDC to issue new policies.

Solution

After modifying the IP address of the virtual machine on VDC, restart the virtual machine on the VDC.
