Issue Description

VDC virtual machine creation failed. Prompted with virtual machine creation error. Reason: Unable to access target storage on the node. Please check the storage network.

Error/Warning Information

Handling Process

1. The derivation of a virtual machine from resources on VDC failed.
2. Upon inspection, the storage pointed to by the derivation is virtual storage, and the VMP (Virtual Machine Platform) inspection of the virtual storage is also normal.
3. The connection between VDC and VMP is also normal.
4. When creating a new one under this resource and then deriving it, selecting the same storage can succeed in derivation.

Root Cause

The original virtual machines on this resource were migrated from another cluster by the customer and then imported into VDC. At this point, if the derived storage path from the migration is used, it will be considered inconsistent with the storage path of the current cluster, resulting in the inability to create a new virtual machine.

Solution

Create a new derived task under this resource to resolve the issue.

Suggestions

If the virtual machines are deleted from VDC and then imported, and they are within the same cluster, it is possible to derive them normally. However, if they are imported after being migrated across clusters, it is not possible to derive virtual machines under the original task.
