To send alarm email, you need check the option Send alerts to specified email addressesand then specify Recipient Email Addresses, and the recipient email addresses, andconfigure the SMTP server by clicking on Settings.



Sender Address: Specifies sender email address.
SMTP Server: Specifies IP address and domain name of SMTP server.
Port: Specifies port of SMTP server.
Default port number is 25.

If the SMTP server requires authentication, select Authentication required, and enterusername and password.

1. To configure the alert settings.
2. Navigate to System > Alerts > Alert Options.
Select the alert threshold to be adjusted and save the changes:
- Host alert events settings.
- Physical network host network alert events settings
- Storage alert events settings
- Virtual Machines alert events settings
- Virtual network device alert events settings
- Cluster Alert Events settings
