Shared desktop unable to open remote desktop (mstsc)

Issue Description

After connected shared desktop, the remote desktop (mstsc) unable to open, no repsonse after clicked.

Handling Process

1. Use administrator account to login PC, open regedit.exe
2. If that is 32 bit operation system, go to this path
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sangfor\SSL\RemoteAppServer\RemoteAppApiHook\NotAllowProList delete mstsc.exe
3. If that is 64 bit operation system, go to this path
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Sangfor\SSL\RemoteAppServer\RemoteAppApiHook\NotAllowProList delete mstsc.exe

4. After delete mstsc.exe registry, able to open mstsc.exe

Root Cause

By default, shared desktops have restrictions on mstsc and CMD and some functions that require administrator rights

Solution

Modify registry
