Hendragon Lv1Posted 28 Dec 2019 09:59

Hi All,
I have a Cluster Sangfor HCI contain 2 HCI node with 1 disk group each node (1 SSD for cache + 4 NL disk for data).
HCI firmware is 5.8.8 R1.
Can i add another SSD for cache to existing disk group to improve I/O performance ?
Thanks.

Just worry that the existing disk group dont have enough iops due to percentage of SSD size is only 5% from the total HDD size.
SSD size is 800GB
HDD size is 4 x 4TB
Is this answer helpful?

FF. Haven't tried this yet. One thing that I have noticed is that aCloud auto assign 1 SSD per disk group. Maybe if you want to add another one, it will create another disk group. Not sure.

You cannot upgrade to the existing but you can create a disk group if you want to add.

For your information, one disk group only can consist of one SSD. One disk group consist SSD with n HDD (n ≤ 7). The capacity ratio of SSD and HDD for a disk group not less than 1:20
