Issue Description

Centos VM black screen after migrated from Citrix to aCloud.

Handling Process

Check the boot config as well as the system mount.

Solution

  • Mount a CentOS installation ISO to the virtual machine. Boot from the CD/DVD, and enter maintenance mode.
  • Choose step by step follow the instruction.
  • Switch the root partition
  • Go to the console and check the system mount status. The system partitions show in the screenshot are already mounted, no need to mount them manually.
  • Find the grub.conf file in the boot directory, delete line “console=hvc0” and the VM will be able to boot.
