Getting VDI username in Windows VM

terryng Lv1Posted 07 Nov 2019 16:38

Hi there,
Situation:
It is required to connect to user level authenticated samba share. The VDC and the samba server have been configured to authenticate through the same LDAP. On successful login through the Sangfor aDesk client, a windows 7 VM was started using a generic username "user". Such a username "user" cannot be used to connect to the samba share. It is required to key in the username and password again upon connection request.

Objective:
Is it possible for the VM to get the username from the Sangfor aDesk client? Or, is there any other way to get the username for connecting to the samba share.

Thank you!

Terry

VM cannot get the username from the Sangfor aDesk client, but Sangfor aDesk client can be configured to login using AD Domain users.
Is this answer helpful?
