Answer: C. MTU is set to 1500

Although all HCI nodes can ping each other, VM live migration uses larger packets (VXLAN/overlay traffic). If the physical network MTU remains at 1500, these larger encapsulated packets may be dropped, causing cross-node migration to fail while basic ping tests still succeed.

Why not the others?

A. Management VLAN is not allowed → Nodes would typically not be reachable by ping.
B. IGMP snooping is enabled → Affects multicast traffic, not normal VM migration traffic.
D. Storage network uses 1GE → May reduce performance and make migration slower, but it does not usually cause migration failure.
