If I want to block YouTube for certain users, how do I do it in NGFW. Because now all users are blocked.

Hi,

Web filtering technology restricts user access to particular URLs or websites and is manufactured for every situation from individual use to multi-national enterprise use. Enterprise-grade web filters primarily block content determined by an enterprise to be non-productive or potentially dangerous, through the use of black and white-lists. They are also able to perform an immediate analysis of the content of a page and allow or restrict access, dependant on the findings. The best web filtering solutions make use of a URL database which classifies websites as safe for use, or as a potential malware, phishing or virus host.

Thanks

Identify the users: Determine the users or user groups for whom you want to block YouTube access.

Create user or user group objects: In your NGFW management interface, create user or user group objects representing the individuals or groups you identified in step 1. Assign appropriate names to these objects.

Create an access control policy: Configure a new access control policy or modify an existing one to include a rule for blocking YouTube.

Define the rule: Within the access control policy, create a rule that specifies the conditions for blocking YouTube. The rule should include the user or user group objects created in step 2.

Block YouTube URLs or IP addresses: Configure the rule to block access to YouTube URLs or IP addresses. This can be achieved by creating an application or web filtering rule that targets YouTube specifically.

Apply the policy: Apply the access control policy to the appropriate firewall zones or interfaces to enforce the blocking of YouTube for the specified users or user groups.

Test and monitor: Verify that the YouTube blocking is functioning as intended by testing it with the designated users. Monitor the NGFW logs or reporting features to ensure the policy is effectively blocking access to YouTube.

In your source address, just specify the users or group that you want to block. If you are doing a IP address mapping, you can specify the equivalent IP address of that user you want to block.

specify the users that you want to block in your source address, do not use the whole network.

select users/group in your source address not the whole network.
