Hello Sangfor Community,
To ensure the continuous security, stability, and high performance of your virtualization infrastructures, it is critical to keep your cluster software aligned with official lifecycle policies.
Sangfor is announcing the official End of Support (EOS) date for HCI/SCP 6.7.x and lower versions, scheduled for December 31st, 2026.
What Does End of Support (EOS) Mean?
Once a software version crosses the EOS threshold:
  • No New Patches: No further hotfixes, custom patches, or security vulnerability updates will be developed.
  • Database Updates Discontinued: Automatic updates to rule databases and threat signature libraries will cease.
  • Technical Support Halted: All formal technical maintenance, remote support, and SLA-backed troubleshooting for these versions will be discontinued.

The Safe Upgrade Blueprint
If your cluster is running a version older than 6.8.0, migrating to a modern, supported branch (such as 6.10.x or 6.11.x) is highly recommended. To prevent downtime or cluster disruption, execute this checklist:
  • Leverage the aDeploy Precheck Tool: For upgrades to HCI 6.3.0R1 and above, running the aDeploy tool is mandatory. It scans your cluster nodes for bad disk sectors, firmware incompatibilities, and network anomalies before uploading the upgrade package.
  • Cold vs. Hot Upgrade Constraints: Remember that upgrades from older legacy kernels (pre-6.0) to major modern releases require a Cold Upgrade (virtual machines must be powered off). Modern versions support Hot Upgrades where hosts upgrade sequentially without VM service interruptions.
  • Verify License Structures: Note that starting from HCI 6.8.0, the licensing structure for Virtual Keys has changed. If you are upgrading from an older version, your cluster will need to be re-licensed using device info from at least
  • 2 nodes.
