Here are some potential causes and troubleshooting steps you can try:

General Configuration Issues:

Check Email Settings: Double-check that the email settings in Sangfor NGAF are correct, including the SMTP server address, port number, username, password, and authentication method. Ensure they match the specific requirements of your chosen email service.
Verify Report Recipients: Make sure the email addresses for report subscriptions are valid and entered correctly.
Enable Email Notifications: Confirm that email notifications are enabled for the specific reports you want to subscribe to.

Specific Email Service Issues:

    Outlook/Gmail:
Firewall/Antivirus Restrictions: Temporarily disable firewall or antivirus software on the NGAF server to see if they're blocking outgoing email traffic.
Two-Factor Authentication: Some email services like Gmail require two-factor authentication. Ensure you've configured the appropriate app password for Sangfor NGAF if used.
Sending Limits: Be aware of potential sending limits on Gmail or Outlook free accounts. Consider using a dedicated email address with higher sending limits for reports.
    Sangfor Built-in Server:
Server Status: Ensure the Sangfor email server is running and accessible.
Authentication Settings: Double-check authentication settings specific to the built-in server.

Additional troubleshooting:

Review Logs: Look for error messages in Sangfor NGAF logs related to email sending attempts. These might provide clues about the specific issue.
Test Email Functionality: Try sending a test email from Sangfor NGAF manually to a valid recipient outside of report subscriptions. This can help isolate the issue to report subscriptions or email sending in general.

Hi, can you check the smtp parameters into ngaf settings are correct? If you are using an account gmail or Microsoft 365 protected by mfa, you have to create an application password .
Here a link to follow for creating an application password for a gmail account with mfa: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/185833?hl=en

Please perform it following the steps below.
Step 1. Go to [Internal Data Center] -> [System Management] -> [System Settings], configure Receiver Address, Sender Address, Mail Server Address and Username/Password (if required).
Step 2. Subscribe a report under [Custom Report] -> [Report Wizard].
Step 3. Follow the configuration wizard based on requirements until Step 6 of the wizard, check the option “Subscribe this report (Use default SMTP settings)” and insert the Receiver Address. The default Receiver Address configured previously will be included as well.
Please note: The mail server configuration only support mail server using port 25 (default port), other ports not supported by default.

The inability to send email report subscriptions in NGAF (Next-Generation Anti-Fraud) could be attributed to various reasons. Firstly, ensure that the email server settings, including SMTP configurations, are correctly entered in the NGAF settings for Outlook, Gmail, or Sangfor's built-in email server. Additionally, check for any firewall or security software that might be blocking outgoing email traffic. Confirm that the email account used for subscriptions is active, properly configured, and has the necessary permissions to send emails.

Hi,

Here are some of the things that might be causing the issue and possible solutions:

1. double check the SMTP server settings (address, port, authentication, etc) for each email server and make sure that they're accurate and match the specific server requirements
2. Sangfor NGAF might have some firewall rules that blocks outgoing email traffic on the ports defined by the email servers. Open the required ports (ex: SMTP ports = 25, 465, 587) depending on the chosen email server
3. Verify if the email server requires authentications like username and password and ensure the credentials encoded in Sangfor NGAF is correct.
4. Check for any misconfiguration with Sangfor NGAF regarding emai lsubscription reports
5. Contact Sangfor support for immediate assistance regarding this specific concerns
