High Availability (HA) mode is supported by Sangfor NGAF (Next-Generation Application Firewall) to guarantee constant network availability and data security. When in HA mode, two NGAF devices cooperate to offer failover and redundancy.
No, it is not feasible to utilize eth0 as a heartbeat interface. Sangfor NGAF normally enables customers to define certain interfaces for heartbeat communication.

based on the documentation, the latest firmware version does not support eth0 being configured as HA monitor interface, eth0 cannot configure as production interface when NGAF configure on HA

Yes, eth0 can be used as a heartbeat in Sangfor NGAF HA mode.

To do this, you will need to configure the following:

On the primary NGAF device, go to System > High Availability and enable HA mode.
Enter the IP address of the secondary NGAF device in the Peer IP Address field.
Select eth0 from the Heartbeat Interface drop-down menu.
    Click Save.

On the secondary NGAF device, configure the following:

Go to System > High Availability and enable HA mode.
Enter the IP address of the primary NGAF device in the Peer IP Address field.
Select eth0 from the Heartbeat Interface drop-down menu.
    Click Save.

Once you have configured both devices, they will automatically form an HA cluster and begin sending heartbeats to each other over eth0. If one of the devices fails, the other device will take over and continue to provide firewall and other services.

Sangfor NGAF (Next-Generation Application Firewall) supports High Availability (HA) mode to ensure continuous network availability and data protection. In HA mode, two NGAF devices work together to provide redundancy and failover capabilities.
Regarding using eth0 as a heartbeat interface, Sangfor NGAF typically allows users to configure specific interfaces for heartbeat communication,  no it is not possible.
