My HCI cluster have 2 Node each node have 2.5"x16 Slot and installed 2 SSD (For OS) and 1 SSD Cache and 6 HDD. I want to add new Disk group (1SSD, 6HDD) on each node. Can I do that?. (Summary total disk are 14 Disk+ 2 OS disk per Node as below)

Yes, you can add 1 SSD and 6 HDD to each node of your HCI cluster. total number of disks per cluster can be up to 24.
Is this answer helpful?

It is possible to upgrade.

Yes, you can add a new disk group (1 SSD and 6 HDD) on each node of your HCI cluster, given that you have a total of 14 additional disks (7 SSDs and 7 HDDs) available for this purpose. This configuration allows for expanding storage capacity and optimizing performance.

The maximum number of disks that can be added to a Sangfor HCI cluster depends on the specific hardware and configuration used. However, a 3-node HCI cluster could potentially support several terabytes of storage capacity, ranging from a few terabytes up to tens of terabytes or more.

To increase the maximum disk capacity of a Sangfor HCI cluster, you can either:

Add additional nodes to the cluster.
Upgrade the existing nodes to use larger disks.
Use a combination of both approaches.

Yes, you can add a new disk group in a Sangfor HCI node. To do this, follow these steps:

Log in to the Sangfor HCI web console.
Go to Storage > Disk Group.
    Click Add New Group.
Enter a name for the new disk group.
Select the disks that you want to add to the new disk group.
Click OK to create the new disk group.

Once the new disk group has been created, you can use it to store virtual machines and other data.

Note: Before adding a new disk group, you must ensure that the disks that you want to add are not already in use by another disk group. You can check the status of a disk by going to Storage > Disk.

Additional notes:

You can add up to 64 disks to a disk group.
The minimum disk size for a disk group is 1 TB.
You can mix and match different types of disks in a disk group, but it is recommended to use the same type of disk for all disks in a disk group.
If you are adding SSDs to the disk group, you can enable SSD caching to improve performance.

Yes it is possible The maximum storage capacity of a Sangfor HCI (Hyper-Converged Infrastructure) system to upgrade each node in your HCI cluster witth 6 HDD, and a maximum of 24 disks can be present in each cluster.

To add a new disk group, you can follow the instructions provided by Microsoft Learn or watch the video tutorial by Manfred Helber on YouTube.

Yes you can, It is important to note that adding disk groups may take some time, as reported by a user on the VMware Communities forum.
