If the network infra will be built from scratch it is better to do the following:
1. NGAF (Route Mode/Gateway Mode/Layer 3 Mode)
2. WANO (Bridge Mode/Layer2 Mode)
3. Cisco Core Switch (Route Mode/Layer3 Mode)

But if the NGAF (or other Firewall) and Core Switch have been in production already, and the client doesn't want that many physical changes in their infra (especially in POCs), you can deploy the WANO in Single-Arm Mode connected to the Core Switch. Just dont forget to do PBR to traffics you want to accelerate.

Every network topology is depends on clients setup. but the recommendation is always NGAF is in Route mode, connected to WANO as Bridge mode then connected to Core Switch.
