ACME Client - is it possible on HCI?

Simone Eusebi Lv1  Posted 2026-Oct-19 17:58

Hi everyone,

With SSL certificates moving toward shorter validity periods, I was wondering if HCI supports integration with an ACME client to fully automate certificate renewal and deployment.

Thanks in advance,

Simone

Thank you Ahmed for suggestions.
But my aim is to automate this procedure using an ACME client installed on HCI that automatically contact the Certificate Authority (CA), request the new certificate, download it and install it.
I can continue doing it manually of course, but if automation could help up, why not try?

Thank you again

You typically get these files from your Certificate Authority (CA) when you purchase or generate an SSL/TLS certificate.
If you already have these files but they are not in .crt format or need conversion from another type (e.g., .pem, .der), use tools like OpenSSL for conversion.
