Can HCI support NVMe over TCP as initiator towards an external Storage?

Can someone confirm HCI Sangfor with external storage, can support NVMe over TCP as initiator towards an external Storage.? Also is there an incompatible list indicating Comvault agentless backup SW can or cannot work with Sangfor hypervisor?

Hi,

There is no official indication that Sangfor HCI supports NVMe over TCP as an initiator for connecting to external storage arrays.
Sangfor HCI is designed based on its own distributed storage architecture, although it also supports specific external storage integrations (iSCSI, Fibre Channel over supported configurations, or NFS).
Commvault does not list Sangfor HCI as one of its native agentless hypervisor integrations (such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, RHV, etc.).
There is no widely published compatibility matrix stating whether Sangfor HCI is officially supported for agentless backup by Commvault.
Is this answer helpful?

Hello

Sangfor HCI does not appear to enable NVMe over TCP as an initiator for connecting to external storage arrays.
Although it also supports certain external storage integrations (iSCSI, Fibre Channel over certain configurations, or NFS), Sangfor HCI is built on its own distributed storage architecture.
Sangfor HCI is not included by Commvault as one of its native agentless hypervisor integrations (like VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, RHV, etc.).
There isn't a commonly available compatibility matrix that indicates whether Commvault officially supports Sangfor HCI for agentless backup.

Acting as an NVMe over TCP initiator to consume external storage is not officially supported by Sangfor HCI. Additionally, there is no formal documentation of Commvault Agentless Backup's certified integration with Sangfor Hypervisor.

Sangfor HCI does not officially support acting as an NVMe over TCP initiator to consume external storages. Also commvault agentless backup is not officially documented as a certified integration with Sangfor hypervisor.
