IAM/IAG is not authenticating users — users go online without logging in or get stuck

The IAG supports several authentication methods. When users bypass or get stuck, first identify which method is configured.

IP/MAC binding — the device MAC and IP must be pre-registered. If the MAC changes (VM, VPN adapter), auth fails silently.

Local password — check under User Management → Local User that the account is enabled and not expired.

AD / LDAP — verify the domain controller IP, bind DN, and port (389 or 636). Test connectivity from IAG console with ping and telnet.

DKEY / SSO — the IAG agent must be installed on the client and running. Check Windows Services for the Sangfor Authentication Client.

SMS / QR code — requires the IAG to reach the SMS gateway. Check outbound connectivity and gateway credentials.
