Convert VM to Template (Windows 11 LTSC)

Hi,
I'm trying to prepare a template with sysprep but i'm having some problems.
I have a gold-image with OS updates and software I need. I keep it as is for maintaining in future with updates and new software requests.
I clone it - using Full Clone option - in order to have a second Vm where I can execute sysprep.exe and that I will use only for deployment the VDI lab (I remove also the not provisioned Appx).
I run the "sysprep" vm, executing the command C:\Windows\System32\Sysprep\sysprep.exe /generalize /oobe /unattend:"c:\unattend.xml" /shutdown
The vm poweroff regurarly.
So i move to Sangfor VDC -> Vm templates -> Convert to VM template
I complete all data request and start the converting procedure.
But I noticed that during this operation the Vm-sysprep (using console) start automatically and that is not correct, because the first run have to be made later, during pool creation and not now.

Am I doing something wrong?
Do you have any suggestion how fix it?

Thank you everyone

Simone

Use VDC customization (best)
Or snapshot + revert method
Or prevent first boot during conversion

Hi Ahmed, thank you for fast reply.
Which type of VDC customization are you talking about?
Can you explain me better your suggestions? Snapshot + revert when exactly?
I would like to prevent the boot during the conversion process from vm-sysprep to template-sysprep.

Thank you
