Issue Summary – Sangfor Firewall M5100-F-1

The Sangfor Firewall M5100-F-1 has stopped functioning completely. The following issues are observed:

No ping response on any interface or port

Internet connectivity is not available

No access to the Web UI via the management or any other port

No access through the console port

No physical reset pinhole is available on the device

All standard troubleshooting and reset methods have been attempted without success

Only the MGMT and ETH1 ports show blinking LEDs

Technical Assessment

Based on the symptoms above, this does not appear to be a configuration-related issue. The absence of console output and management access strongly indicates one of the following:

Firmware corruption

Internal flash storage failure

Motherboard or CPU hardware failure

Sangfor firewalls do not support end-user factory reset or firmware recovery. Restoration or repair requires official Sangfor technical support intervention.

Troubleshooting Already Performed

Full power drain reset (device powered off, all cables removed, waiting period applied)

Console access attempt using standard serial settings (9600, 8N1)

Network interface testing on all ports

Multiple reboot attempts

None of the above restored functionality.

LED Status Interpretation
Indicator        Status
MGMT LED        Blinking (power present)
ETH1 LED        Blinking
System response        No boot, no console output

LED activity alone confirms power delivery, but not OS or control plane functionality.

I believe that the device has hung, because from the information given it cannot be accessed directly. The last resort may be to reboot the device by unplugging the power and plugging it back the power again.
hopefully can help a little ;)
