Hi, I'd like to check if it's possible for the end user to activate the license independently. I noticed a note on the firewall page stating that activation requires contacting the device supplier. I've already reached out to Sangfor support, and they advised me to contact the supplier as well. Could you please advise on the next steps?

Can End Users Activate Sangfor Licenses Independently? Yes, end users can activate licenses themselves, but only through the Sangfor Support Portal and following the official process. However, the license file itself is issued by Sangfor or the authorized supplier, so you cannot bypass the supplier entirely.


Activation Process

  • Register on Sangfor Support Portal



    • Create an account using your company email.

    • Add your device under Assets > My Assets List using:


      • Gateway ID or Serial Number for physical devices (NGAF, IAG).

      • Cloud License ID for virtual appliances.

  • Device Info Export


    • On your firewall/IAG:


      • Navigate to System > General > Licensing.

      • Click Manual Update > Export Device Info.

        
    • Upload this file to the portal.

  • The supplier validates entitlement and requests the license from Sangfor.
