I would like to inquire whether it is possible to implement a Cisco HSRP (Hot Standby Router Protocol) setup within a Sangfor Firewall environment.

Looking forward to your guidance on this matter.

Step-by-Step Setup
1. Configure HSRP on Cisco Routers
On each router:

bash
interface GigabitEthernet0/1
ip address 192.168.1.2 255.255.255.0  # Router A
standby 1 ip 192.168.1.1             # Virtual IP
standby 1 priority 110               # Higher priority for active role
standby 1 preempt
Repeat on Router B with a different IP and lower priority.

2. Deploy Sangfor Firewall
Set WAN interface to connect to HSRP routers.

Set LAN interface to internal network.

Use Routing Mode or Transparent Mode depending on your policy needs.

3. Set Default Gateway on Sangfor
Point Sangfor’s default route to the HSRP virtual IP (e.g., 192.168.1.1).
