Yes, a Forti-Sandbox virtual machine was set up inside the HCI cluster.

That error usually means the VM you are trying to power on (in this case, the FortiSandbox VM) requires nested virtualization (Intel VT-x / AMD-V hardware virtualization support), but the underlying Sangfor HCI does not expose the virtualization flag (VMX/SVM) to guest VMs.

Possible Workarounds

1 . Check BIOS/Host Settings

  • Ensure the physical hosts in your HCI cluster have Intel VT-x (or AMD-V) and Intel EPT (or AMD RVI) enabled in BIOS.
  • Even if enabled, Sangfor may still not expose these flags to VMs.

2. Verify Sangfor VM Settings

  • In some hypervisors (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V), you can explicitly enable “Expose hardware-assisted virtualization to guest.”
  • Check if Sangfor HCI VM settings have an advanced option to enable this (though in most builds it’s not available).

Hello, are you implementing a Forti-VM within HCI?  Please submit a screenshot of the mistake at the same time.
