In Summary, The witness server ensures data consistency in 2-node HCI clusters by preventing split-brain, acting as an arbitration replica with minimal storage use.

I learned that guide explains how to deploy and configure a witness server in a 2-node Sangfor HCI (Hyper-Converged Infrastructure) cluster to prevent split-brain scenarios in case of storage network failures.

By reviewing the 2+1 Scenario Witness Deployment Guide, I developed a clear understanding of the deployment and configuration process for a Witness server in a two-node HCI cluster. This configuration is essential for preventing data split-brain scenarios and ensuring data consistency through the aSAN replication mechanism.

I reviewed the HCI v6.9.1 Quick Start Guide, I've noticed that the node initialization process is well-documented. The guide serves as a valuable resource for learning and initial deployment.

I learned from the 2+1 Scenario Witness Deployment Guide and it helped me solve the potential for data inconsistency and split-brain in a two-node HCI cluster especially the step to add a witness node when creating the virtual datastore was very useful.

The deployment process charts in this document are very helpful and I recommend friends who encounter the need to prevent data split-brain in a two-node HCI cluster.

I learned Domain Name and Port Usage for Sangfor Cyber Command and it helped me solve integration configuration issues between Sangfor devices and Cyber Command especially the detailed port requirement table in the "Sangfor devices integration" section was very useful.

The examples/charts listing domain names and port mappings for CC connections in this document are very useful and I recommend friends who encounter problems with CC failing to connect to SaaS services due to DNS or port blocking to have a look!

I have developed in-depth expertise in deploying Sangfor HCI, encompassing all critical phases such as node initialization, cluster configuration, network and storage setup, licensing, and virtual machine provisioning. This methodical approach enables rapid, standardized, and seamless infrastructure onboarding, ensuring smooth integration of new systems.
