I've had a similar issue during a migration before, maybe this can help.
Try temporarily changing the destination cluster's admin password to something simpler, without any special characters like @, $, or %.
For example, you could use something like Cluster123
It worked for me!

Hi, here are some troubleshooting steps for reference:

1. Check Version Compatibility:
- Ensure that the HCI and vCenter versions correspond. As of the standard edition HCI 6.8.0, the HCI platform supports the following vCenter versions:
- vCenter 5.0
- vCenter 5.1
- vCenter 5.5
- vCenter 6.5
- vCenter 6.7
- vCenter 7.0
- vCenter 7.0.1
- vCenter 7.0.2
- Note: Support for vCenter 7.x versions starts from HCI standard edition 6.8.0.

2. Network Communication:
- Ensure that the management IP of the HCI platform and vCenter can communicate normally.
- Open TCP ports 443 and 902 for all HCI nodes to all ESXi nodes.

3. DNS Configuration:
- If the ESXi node uses a domain name, ensure that the HCI node is configured with a DNS address that can resolve the domain name. This is crucial for proper communication.

4. Log Investigation:
- Check the logs located at `/sf/log/today/sfvt_vmware-backup.log` on the task's run host for any error messages related to address lookup failures.

5. Run Location Alias:
- If the run location of the VM is configured with an alias, change it to an IP address. HCI may not recognize the run location alias configured by VMware, which can lead to migration failures.

6. Contact Support:
- If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it may require an engineer's remote technical support for further investigation. You can contact tech.support@sangfor.com for assistance.
