FIREWALL MIGRATION

Hi,

Since the Sangfor firewall is focused on capturing the market i believe it would be great idea to give tools to migrate policies and setting from other vendors devices to Sangfor.
If not full extent upto some extent it should be able to do direct migration.
For refence you can take a look at Sonicwall migration services which is free tool.
Fortinet has migration license, but it is paid.

It would great addition and give confidence to customers that their migration to Sangfor devices will be smooth and stress-free.

Absolutely agree with you. Even if the core rules are only partially implemented, lowering manual effort and risks; it would also show that Sangfor is committed to smooth transitions, allay adoption concerns, and position Sangfor as customer-centric in future bids.

Yes totally agreed! Sangfor should develop a free, vendor-agnostic migration tool like SonicWall or a tiered paid model similar to Fortinet in order to convert competitor firewall policies into Sangfor-compatible configurations. It prioritize the core rules (ACLs, NAT, VPNs) even if partial, reducing manual effort and risks; this would boost market appeal by demonstrating commitment to seamless transitions, easing adoption fears and positioning Sangfor as customer-centric in competitive replacements in future.
