firdaus9090 Lv1Posted 2024-Nov-29 11:52

hi Community,

When trying to configure two default route in the new NSF 8.0.95 , the second route will be invalid. Does anyone else experience this? This not happen in the 8.0.47. Eventhought the route is working.

thanks

Better is to configure "Policy base routes" instead of multiple default route.

In PBR you can configure load balancing via Round robin and weighted round robin

the tab of Policy base routing is next to static route

Due to a modification in the way the more recent firmware version handles multiple default routes, this problem may arise with NSF 8.0.95. Because this release's routing validation is more stringent, the system flags the second default route as invalid even though it could still work.

This problem may arise with NSF 8.0.95 because the latest firmware update alters how certain default routes are managed. The system flags the second default route as invalid due to a more stringent routing validation procedure in this release, even though it could still work.

Hi
A change in the way the more recent firmware version handles multiple default routes may be the cause of this problem in NSF 8.0.95. Due to a more stringent routing validation procedure in this release, the system flags the second default route as invalid even if it might potentially work.

The second default route becoming invalid in NSF 8.0.95 is due to in routing behavior, route metrics and the handling of multiple default routes in this version.

This issue can occur in NSF 8.0.95 due to a change in how multiple default routes are handled in the newer firmware version. While the second default route may still function, the system marks it as invalid because of a stricter validation process for routing in this release.
