Cloned VM Unable To Access Internet

Issue Description

Cloned VM in the aCloud unable to access internet.

Handling Process

  • Check VM network setting.
  • Check virtual topology whether there is link connection to the VM.

Solution

1. Check the IP address and the gateway configuration of the virtual machine is normal.
2. Check the Link Connection of the virtual machine and the routing configuration is normal.
3. Check whether the cloned virtual machine has configured for specified IP. Follow the steps below to check it.
Under Network and Sharing Center > Local Area Connection(based on the VM) > Right click for properties > Client for Microsoft Networks(click Configure) > Advanced > Assign Mac, check whether it had been configure Value or Not Present.
If it has configured Value, change to Not Present and test the internet connectivity.
