How do you confirm WAF “Application Hiding” isn’t the reason a legitimate integration just broke?

I am George Fady, I am a technical support engineer in Sangfor.

Application Hiding strips information a web server would normally send back to the client - server name, specific web application tech, version info - specifically so attackers can’t use it to find known vulnerabilities for that exact version.

Good for security, but it’s also exactly the kind of response-header information some legitimate monitoring tools, API clients, or integration partners quietly depend on.

When an integration that was working suddenly breaks after a WAF policy change, how do you confirm (or rule out) Application Hiding as the cause, without just disabling it and hoping? Do you compare raw response headers before/after, keep a known-good baseline capture, or something else? Would appreciate hearing how other people in the community approach this one.
