Migrate Amazon EC2 instances to on-premise Sangfor HCI

I am seeking assistance with migrating our existing Amazon EC2 instances, which include SuSE Enterprise 15 and Windows Server 2019, to an on-premise 2-node Sangfor Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) with minimal downtime. Could you please advise if there are any in-house Sangfor migration tools available to facilitate this process?

Hi, try to backup as image, download the image, then create VM at HCI on premise with export import from image. need down time to prevent data lost during migration.
i have done this with ubuntu server running in AWS, now its running well at HCI on prem.

Is this answer helpful?

Hi @fuadmahbubun. Thanks for the feedback. Are you saying create AMIs of my EC2 instances and then download it. Convert the AMIs image to a format compatible with Sangfor HCI. And then import the converted images to Sangfar HCI? If yes, this approach might need to bring down the server for certain time as we have 1 of the instances size greater than 800GB. I'm wondering can I use the SCMP method on Amazon EC2 to perform the replication and find a good day to perform the cutoff.
