When accessing to HCI or aCMP Web UI with the latest browser version, it will show either "can't reach this page" or show blank page.
Trigger conditions
1. HCI or aCMP version below 6.1.0.
2. Using latest version of the web browser.
a. Microsoft Edge with version 119 and above. b. Google Chrome with version 118 and above. c. Mozilla Firefox with version 119 and above.
Root Cause
Old version of HCI does not support Encrypted ClientHello(ECH) protocol and lead to the inaccessible WebUI.
How to check
1. Verify the current version whether it is lower than HCI6.1.0.2. Verified if the the browser version match with the version listed above.
Solution
1. Permanent solution : Advised to upgrade the HCI version to 6.1.0 and above. 2. Personal solution: Disable ECH protocol on Chrome/Firefox and use these 2 browsers due to Edge unable to disable the ECH protocol. a. For Chromei. Open Chrome with new tab, and enter to the chrome://flags. ii. Change the action to "Disabled" and relaunch the Chrome browser.
b. For Firefoxi. Launch the Firefox and enter to about:config.
ii. Search for ech and change the value of these 4 attributes. - network.dns.echconfig.enabled > Change to false. - network.dns.echconfig.enabled > Change to false. - security.tls.ech.grease_http3 > Change to false.- security.tls.ech.grease_probability > Change to 0.
